We’re proud to share that the Zywicki Residence has officially achieved PHIUS+ 2018 certification—marking another step in our commitment to creating sustainable, high-performance homes that reflect both environmental responsibility and thoughtful design.

Located in Davidson, North Carolina, the Zywicki Residence is a single-family home designed to meet rigorous Passive House standards while remaining responsive to its climate, site, and the daily rhythms of the people who live there. Certified by the Passive House Institute US (PHIUS), the home meets one of the most rigorous benchmarks for energy efficiency in North America.

As the first Passive House Certified Consultant in Charlotte, Kristina Held has long championed the potential of Passive House design in the Southeast. The Zywicki Residence represents the collaborative spirit we bring to every project—balancing building science with a strong sense of place to create architecture that is both functional and regenerative.

We’re honored to contribute to a growing movement toward healthier, more resilient housing. Explore more about the project on the PHIUS Certified Project Database
