VS AMERICA - Kristina Held worked on uplifting the existing building on South Tryon Street from 2015 to 2023. VS America has a very distinct design philosophy and style. The exteriors have to be simple to provide a backdrop for the furniture on display. The actual work desks and furniture are functional and, at the same time, serve as a showroom for clients looking for office furniture. The colors are muted and light. One of the challenges was to reroute all ductwork and mechanical units so that they became part of the architecture or disappeared entirely where possible. The result is a very classic, timeless modern architecture.
