THE WALK - Kristina Held worked on the compact design of the 28 four-story townhomes in North Charleston. The Units are well connected through a multimodal pathway. We wanted to carry some Old Charleston charm into this new community. This project was very cost-conscious. Therefore, no face brick or stone has been implemented on the facade. To make the architecture stand out, we used various textures for the Hardie Plank and worked with balconies to create variations in height and depth. This resulted in a subdued modern version of the Southern charming architecture.
